History & Positioning
History
In order to set up a university with the essences of technology and humanity, our school integrated the Department of Foreign Languages, the Department of Child Care and Education, the Humanity Education Center and the newly established Center for Teacher Education, and set up the College of Humanities & Social Sciences in 2002. Then, in 2004, the Language Education Center was established after the school’s reorganization. In 2006, the Department of Information Management and the Department of Health and Leisure Management, which originally belonged to the College of Management and Information, were included into our college. Ever since that time, our college has been renamed as the “College of Humanities and Management”. In order to meet the challenges of national development and social needs, and face the challenges of the new era, we set up the Program of Information Technology, the Creative Industry Promotion Center, and the Medical & Human Education Research Center in 2008. In 2009, the Program of Cultural Industries Management was newly established. In 2010, the Department of Health and Leisure Management was renamed as the Department of Leisure and Recreation Industry Management. In the second semester of the 2009 school year, the main axis of our college focused mainly on professional integrations, therefore, the Language Education Center was rearranged into the Center for General Education. At present, there are four departments, which includes the Department of Information Technology and Management, the Department of Child Care and Industries, the Department of Leisure and Recreation Industry Management, and the Department of Foreign Languages) and the Center for Teacher Education in the College of Humanities and Management.
