College Features
We integrate the characteristics of each department in the College of Humanities and Management, take advantage of the concepts of small quantity but diversity developments, and provide exquisite teaching, industrial & academic courses, innovative designs, intelligent services to complete the “cross-domain portfolio of innovative services.”
There are four departments and a center for teacher education in the college. In addition to a wealth of professional equipment, we recruit full-time professional teachers and co-teachers from industries to conduct the teaching work. They possess not only technical certificates but also practical experiences. In order to meet the spirit of learning and using as one single unit, we establish our curriculum modules according to the systematic integration concept. At the same time, we pay attention to the effectiveness of student learning and the development of students’ communication abilities. In conclusion, the functions of student learning and counseling are especially emphasized.
From the organizational point of view, our college is divided into two categories: the domain of humanistic applications, which includes the Department of Child Care and Industries, the Center for Teacher Education and the Department of Foreign Languages, and the domain of management applications, which includes the Department of Information Technology and Management, and the Department of Leisure and Recreation Industry Management. In view of the diversities of the two categories and the four departments, the wide expansion of the physical organizations and professional differences, different positioning in the applications of job markets, we support the professional and exquisite labor cooperation and the coming of the cross-domain innovation era in the world. We take advantage of the systematic concept of the “cross-domain portfolio of innovative services” to build up the service attributes of each department and develop the combined innovative features. All of the above mentioned features are reflected in the curriculum, the cooperation between industry and academia, and various types of designs in the industrial colleges.
